The Live Rich Foundation and World Dodgeball present the first annual Charity Dodgeball Match! We will watch the FDNY vs NYPD at John Jay College of Criminal Justice - Doghouse Gym! Watch New York's finest first responders battle it out on the dodgeball court for a good cause.
The event is designed to raise funds for FDNY 9/11 First Responders who risked their lives to save others. Many first responders are suffering from diseases such as cancer as a result of their heroic sacrifice and therefore the FDNY vs NYPD Charity Dodgeball Event will raise funds to enable FDNY 9/11 First Responders to undertake groundbreaking tests to detect any diseases at a very early stage, which will ultimately increase the number people living longer. These tests and Screenings will Save lives.
Currently over 500 Members of the FDNY have sadly passed away as a result of cancer that is linked to their heroic efforts on 9/11 and their Exposure to the Toxic Dust. Currently there are 3,766 Members of the FDNY, Firefighters, EMTs, Paramedics and Inspectors diagnosed with at least One WTC Certified Cancer and that number increases daily. We need your help to stop the spread of cancer and to save lives.
This event will help raise money to pay for medical testing that can detect early onset illness and connect first responders to the help they need to help save lives.
